Vests, dusters, tie-neck blouses, and tweed: here are some options for petites.
Long vests
Vests are back this season. In addition to this draped version, here is another option from Anthropologie (and a third), and one from WHBM. Ann Taylor also has one, but the smallest size is regular XXS. The wool content may make it shrinkable in the dryer, but proceed with caution if you try that!
Dusters
This one from LOFT (pictured above) in a rich burnt orange (aztec gold) looks great. WHBM has a marled knit rayon/poly one in gray, and a black wool/poly blend (petite sizes sold out) one that is right on trend.
ASOS has a bunch - in marsala, blush, navy and beige floral, royal blue, and a sleeveless option - all available now in size 1.
Anthropologie just came out with this one in two colorways.
Searching "duster" at jcrew.com returns this miniature crop duster toy. They do have a lot of other great outerwear, though.
Tie-neck blouses
For tie-neck blouses, you'll want to check Ann Taylor or LOFT. My favorite from Ann Taylor is this one that comes in a creme or marsala color. There is also one in a cotton candy pink, but this silk one wins the award for most luxurious tie detail. At LOFT, I like this one in black or mauve, but they also have one in polka dots and another in bold stripes. WHBM also has one in creme, and even leopard print, and Anthropologie has got you covered with this beauty.
Tweed
Ann Taylor is typically the place to go for tweed, but it's J.Crew right now with the better selection. My favorite tweed piece at J.Crew right now is this dress, sold out in every petite size except 00P. Close runners-up are the No. 2 pencil skirt in tweed (limited petite sizes, but regular 000 is in stock) and the metallic tweed jacket. If you're willing to spend more, this Collection dress is impressive. Over at AT, my favorite is this skirt (which has a matching jacket; you can't tell from the product photos that either of these are tweed). WHBM has a tailored tweed topper, and LOFT has a tweed moto jacket, among other options. BR has a tweed sheath dress.
